Telugu actor Akhil Akkineni and his girlfriend Shriya Bhupal are set to get engaged at GVK House in Hyderabad on December 9. The invitation for their engagement ceremony has hit the net.
Akkineni's family is all set for a grand engagement ceremony for Akhil and they are busy inviting close friends and relatives for the event. The invitation for the event has a gray and green background with golden flowery designs. As per this card, the function will be held at the house of Shriya's grandfather.
"With the blessings of SMT Annapurna and Sri Akkineni Nageshwara Rao, we take immense pleasure in inviting you to the engagement ceremony of our son Akhil with Shriya, Daughter of Shalini and Somanadri Bhupal on Friday, 9th Demember, 7:00 PM at GVK House - Amala and Nagarjuna Akkineni," reads the statement printed on the invitation card for the engagement ceremony.
Shriya Bhupal is a Hyderabad-based fashion designer and she is the granddaughter of business tycoon GVK Reddy. She is the official costume designer for Filmfare South and she has worked with popular actresses Shraddha Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Kajal Agarwal and Rakul Preet.

Akhil Akkineni, the younger son of superstar Nagarjuna, started seeing Shriya Bhupal a few years ago. The couple spoke to their families about their relationship and asked for their consent. Both the families approved their relationship and gave them green signal to take it to the next level.
A few months ago it was rumoured that Akhil Akkineni and Shriya Bhupal had already engaged. Nagarjuna admitted to their love affair but he refuted the rumours about their engagement. However, the buzz in the film nagar is that the couple will have a destination wedding, which is likely to take place in Italy. But their families are yet to make an announcement about the details of the marriage.
