Ajith's much-awaited "Yennai Arindhaal" release has been postponedagain. Since there is a delay in getting the censor certificate, the Tamil flick's release has been delayed by a week.
"Yennai Arindhaal" was sent to the Regional Censor through online on 20 January. Producer AM Rathnam had reportedly requested the board members to clear the film on 22 January (Thursday) due to his Thursday sentiment.
The latest buzz is that "Yennai Arindhaal" is not being censored on 22 January as there are four movies, which have applied before the Ajith's movie, in the queue. This has caused the delay in its release, according to rumour mills.
It is also said that the post-production work is not fully complete and this is another reason that has made the makers delay the release. Now, "Yennai Arindhaal" will release on 5 February.
The cine trade feels that the delay will not have any adverse impact on "Yennai Arindhaal"s prospects at box office. Instead, it may well turn out be a blessing in disguise as the craze around Shankar's last-week release "I" would have probably eased out. Nonetheless, the official confirmation on its release will be out by Friday (23 January).
Originally, "I" was billed as a Pongal release. From day one, the movie team worked hard to release it for the festival. But since the film's shooting could not be completed as planned, the makers were forced to delay. It was only recently they revealed that "Yennai Arindhaal" would hit the screens on 29 February.
Meanwhile, Ajith Kumar fans on social media sites have said that they are not worried even if it gets delayed and they will support the movie.
"Yennai Arindhaal" is directed by Gautham Menon and produced by AM Rathnam. Trisha Krishnan and Anushka Shetty play Ajith's leading women in the Tamil movie.
