The teaser of Ajith's "Yennai Arindhaal" has become the biggest hit in Kollywood and has also beaten the records of Shah Rukh Khan's "Happy New Year" and Aamir Khan's "Dhoom 3".
"Yennai Arindhaal" has received over 68,000 likes for its teaser and has left mainstream Bollywood stars' films like "Happy New Year", and "Dhoom 3", behind.
"Yennai Arindhaal" teaser, which was released on 4 December, has been viewed close to 30 lakh times. While it has got 68,000 likes, it has been disliked by 4,100+ people.
On the other hand, "Happy New Year" trailer (T-Series Page) on YouTube has gotten over 36,000 likes and 10,000+ dislikes with 55 lakh hits.
Aamir Khan's "Dhoom 3", which has been viewed a record 1.60 crore times on YouTube, has been liked by 55,000+ people, while more than 11,500 viewers have given it a thumbs down. However, what might have played spoilsport for the afore-mentioned Hindi videos is that the hits have been divided as the videos have been published on other unofficial websites as well.
This in turn has come as a blessing for Ajith's "Yennai Arindhaal" video, which managed to beat "Happy New Year" and "Dhoom 3". The credit for such a rare feat undoubtedly goes to the actor's fans, who have left no stone unturned in making the video popular on internet.
Fans of Ajith Kumar, who have been ruling Twitter since 4 December, have continued their dominance with a new hashtag #MostLikedIndianTeaserYennaiArindhaal.
"Yennai Arindhaal" is directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and produced by AM Rathnam. The film will appear before audience for Pongal 2015.
