There seems to be more good news in store for Ajith fans. After announcing the final name of the tentatively-titled "Thala 56" as "Vedalam" and releasing its first look on 23 September, the makers are apparently planning to release a teaser of the Tamil movie just before Gandhi Jayanthi.
As per the buzz, a teaser of "Vedalam" might be released on 1 October as a Gandhi Jayanthi treat to Tamil movie buffs. However, there is a doubt about it, as some people wonder whether the team can pull off the teaser with barely a week to go.
Nonetheless, our sources confirm that the makers will not disappoint Ajith fans as they have plans to release more posters of "Vedalam" on Gandhi Jayanthi. It has to be noted that the looks of Shruti Haasan and Lakshmi Menon have not been revealed yet and some posters of them with Ajith could be released online.
However, the first look of "Vedalam", which was released a few days ago, has got thunderous response from the audience. Ajith's simple look has impressed his fans who are now curiously waiting to see the teaser and trailer of the movie.
The trailer of "Vedalam" might be released during Navaratri, probably on Vijayadashami, the 10th day of the festival. The audio of the movie might also be releasing at the same time. The movie will hit screens during Diwali, most likely on 5 November.
Meanwhile, the movie's distribution rights for Karnataka region have been sold to Gokulraj, who had earlier distributed Shankar's "I" starring Vikram and Amy Jackson in the state. The deal has been struck for a good price, suggest reports.
"Thala 56" is being produced by AM Rathnam and directed by Siruthai Siva.
