Ajith Kumar's "Vedalam" has beaten Vijay's "Puli" as the first look of Thala's movie has got better votes than the Ilayathalapathy's forthcoming film.

Bollywood Life recently conducted a poll to find out which of the two, "Puli" and "Vedalam", has the best first look. The respondents gave thumbs up to Ajith's movie, with 66% votes for Thala; Vijay's movie got 34% votes.
However, the biggest challenge for "Vedalam" will be surpassing the 'likes' of the "Puli" trailer on YouTube. The Vijay starrer got close to 1. 10 lakh 'likes' and beat the record of Salman Khan's "Kick", which had got about 1.02 lakh 'likes'.
Now, "Puli" trailer is the most 'liked' Indian movie on YouTube. We have to wait and see whether "Vedalam" can beat this record as this is not an easy task. It has to be noted that Ajith's last movie "Yennai Arindhaal" had got close to 70,000 'likes' for its official trailer.
However, the date for trailer release of "Vedalam", which has Shruti Haasan and Lakshmi Menon in the key roles, has not been confirmed yet even though there is a buzz that the video clip might be released for Navaratri next month. Prior to the trailer release, the makers are expected to release a teaser, which is likely to release during Gandhi Jayanthi.
Meanwhile, Vijay's "Puli" is getting ready for release. The Tamil movie will release with a bang worldwide on 1 October in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
"Puli", which has been jointly produced by PT Selvakumar and Shibu Thameens, stars Vijay, Kannada superstar Sudeep, Sridevi Kapoor, Hansika Motwani and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles. It has been written and directed by Chimbu Deven.
