Ajith Kumar's upcoming movie, which is currently being referred to as "Thala 57," was supposed to be launched on Sunday, May 1, on the occasion of his birthday. But the latest buzz is that the Tamil film will not have its muhurat on the said date as the script is reportedly undergoing changes.
"Ajith suggested changes in the story of #Thala57. Siva said to be working with famous story writer to make final corrections in the script," Tamil Film News tweeted. It was believed that the film would be formally launched with a pooja at the production house's office in Chennai.
It was expected that the makers would reveal the cast and crew of "Thala 57" on May 1. They have remained tight-lipped about the details of the film. As a result, many speculations on the cast and crew have been doing the rounds.
Rumours about the film's female lead have been making it to gossip columns every now and then. It is said that Nayanthara, Kajal Aggarwal, Tamanna Bhatia, Kriti Kharbanda and many others have been approached. However, Anushka Shetty is reportedly a strong contender to bag the project, while Kriti Sanon is likely to play the second female lead in the flick.
After directing Ajith in "Veeram" and "Vedalam," Siruthai Siva is teaming up with the same actor again in "Thala 57." The director has plans to start the shooting in June.
Anirudh Ravichander is said to be joining hands with Ajith and director Siruthai Siva after "Vedalam." The movie is bankrolled by Sathyajyothi Films, which had earlier produced successful films like "Moonram Pirai," "Uthama Puthiran" and "Kalyana Parisu."
