Ajith's forthcoming movie, which is presently titled as "Thala 56", is expected to begin its regular shooting from Monday, 20 April. The muhurat pooja for the project took place on 9 April in Chennai.
As per the buzz, "Thala 56" will begin its regular shooting in Mumbai. The makers have planned the first schedule of the Tamil movie in India's Commercial Capital and Ajith is likely to join the shooting on the first day itself.
It may be recalled that Ajith's superhit movie "Mankatha" and "Arrambam" were also shot in Mumbai.
However, the makers have not confirmed about the shooting plans, and the official word on the same is awaited. "Thala 56" is directed by Siruthai Siva, who had earlier made "Veeram" with the actor, and the project is bankrolled by AM Rathnam, who had produced Ajith's recent movies like "Yennai Arindhaal" and "Arrambam".
As far as the cast is concerned, Shruti Haasan is reportedly playing the female lead role. This is for the first time that she will be seen romancing Ajith in a movie. Santhanam is also part of the movie and it is said that Parota Soori will also be joining the movie.
Other details about the project are yet to be announced and the name of the movie is expected to be kept under wraps for a few more months as the makers want to generate curiosity over it. "Thala 56" is likely to release this year itself.
