The first look posters of Ajith's "Thala 56" and Rajinikanth starrer "Kabali" will be released next month. The makers of both the films have decided to present the posters for Kollywood audience on 17 September as a Ganesh Chathurthi treat.
According to industry sources, releasing promotional materials on the festival days has always generated positive vibes around films.
The release plans have not come as a surprise for Ajith fans as the shooting of "Thala 56" began three months ago and the time is perfect for the release of the first look. However, in the case of "Kabali", since the regular shooting is yet to begin, releasing the first look in the initial stage has surprised many.
Rajinikanth's look from "Kabali" was leaked recently when the superstar had the photoshoot. Hence, the makers were forced to release the official poster of "Kabali", say rumour mongers. Nonetheless, Rajini fans aren't complaining.
"Kabali" is written and directed by Pa Ranjith. Radhika Apte will be playing the female lead role in the flick. Prakash Raj, Kalaiyarasan, Dinesh Ravi and Dhansika are part of the cast. The film has Santhosh Narayanan's music, G Murali's cinematography and Praveen K L's editing. The Tamil flick is bankrolled by Kalaipuli S Thanu.
Coming back to "Thala 56", the film unit is heading towards wrapping up the climax. Apart from it, two songs are left for canning. The Ajith and Shruti Haasan starrer will be released for Diwali. However, the makers might also release the teaser of the film on Ganesh Chathurthi.
