Ajith's upcoming film "Veeram" is all set for a big release worldwide on 10 January.
Theatre owners in Tamil Nadu have been reportedly trying to allot enough number of screens for both the films, though the exact screen count is yet to be known.
However, details about the film's screen count in overseas markets are out. According to a Behindwoods report, "Veeram" will be releasing in 153 theatres across 13 countries. The film will be releasing in overseas markets including USA, UK, South Africa, France, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Australia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Canada and Holland.
The website reports that the theatre list for "Veeram" is yet to be finalized in Malaysia.
Directed by "Siruthai" Siva, "Veeram" pivots around Ajith who dons the role of an elder brother named Vinayagam. Actors Bala, Vidarth, Suhail and Munish will appear as his younger brothers. Tamannaah is sharing screen space for the first time with Ajith and the film also has Santhanam, Pradeep Rawat, Nassar and Ramesh Khanna in supporting roles.
After a long time, Ajith will be seen in a rural avatar with a rugged look in "Veeram." According to the film's director, it was Ajith's idea to work in a rural pot boiler and wanted him to come up with a rural subject. Siva believes that the main highlight of "Veeram" will be Ajith's transformation from an urban to a rural avatar.
"Veeram", which is gearing up for a massive release on 10 January, is expected to take a fantastic opening on the first day of its release, though it will be facing strong competition from Vijay's "Jilla."
