The trailer of Ajith's new film "Veeram" has been released on Wednesday, as a special New Year treat to the actor's fans.

"Veeram", directed by "Siruthai" Siva, will have Ajith appearing in a rural avatar. The actor will be dhoti-clad and will also sport his popular salt and pepper look.
The film revolves around Ajith and his four brothers played by Bala ("Anbu"), Vidarth ("Myna"), Suhail (Formula 1 driver, Karun Chandhok's brother) and young actor Munish. Tamannah, Santhanam, Pradeep Rawat, Nassar, Ramesh Khanna, Thambi Ramaiya, Appukutty, and Vidyullekha Raman will also appear in pivotal roles.
"Veeram" has completed the censor formalities and received a clean "U" certificate from the censor board. Interestingly, the actor's last release "Arrambam" had also received a "U" and turned out to be a major hit at the box office.
Expectations are sky high for "Veeram", thanks to Ajith who enjoys a massive fan following worldwide. "It's a complete entertainer that everyone can watch and this Is proved by the censor board's faith in giving us a U certificate," a source close to the unit told The New Indian Express.
The action entertainer is gearing up for a massive release on 10 January 2014.
