The audio launch of Ajith's upcoming Tamil film "Veeram" has been officially confirmed for 20 December, according to entertainment industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai.
The film's audio rights have been acquired by Junglee Music label of Times Group. The audio launch of "Veeram" was expected to take place on 7 December, but it did not happen. Interestingly, Vijay's "Jilla" audio launch is happening on 21 December, a day after "Veeram" music release.
Directed by Siva, "Veeram" is touted to be a commercial entertainer set in a rural backdrop. The film's story revolves around Ajith and his four brothers played by Bala, Vidarth, Munish and Suhail. Actress Tammannah plays the female lead, whereas other cast members include Santhanam, Nassar, Devadarshini and Vidhyulekha Raman.
"Jilla" too is reportedly set in rural backdrop. Directed by RT Nesan, "Jilla" has Kajal Aggarwal, Mohanlal and Poornima Bhagyaraj in pivotal roles.
Both the films are likely to hit screens on 10 January 2014 to cash in on the Pongal festival holidays. The shooting of the films have been wrapped up and the post-production work has already begun. The Ajith and Vijay starrers are expected to get clearance from censor board very soon.
Expectations are high for the both the films as Ajith and Vijay enjoy a huge fan following worldwide. Both the actors had one release this year - "Arrambam" and "Thalaivaa." While "Arrambam" turned out to be a blockbuster, "Thalaivaa" also fared decently well at the box office. The success of these films has raised the expectations for "Veeram" and "Jilla."
With just about a month left for Pongal, fans need to wait a little longer to find out whether these two films impress the audience.
