Diwali releases "Arrambam" and "All in All Azhaguraja" have received a clean "U" certificate from the censor board. Both the films are eligible for entertainment tax exemption.
"Arrambam"
Directed by Vishnu Vardhan, "Arrambam" is an action-thriller flick with Ajith and Arya in the lead roles. The other cast members include Rana Daggubati, Nayanthara, Mahesh Manjrekar, Taapsee Pannu and Atul Kulkarni.
"Arrambam", which has been in the making for more than a year, is likely to have a worldwide release on 31 October.
Ever since the film went on floors, there has been much speculation about Ajith's role. Vishnu Vardhan has revealed that Ajith will have two faces in the film - one is a gray side but the director is not willing to reveal the other face of the actor, reported The Times of India.
The film's censor took place on Friday morning and the Ajith starrer is said to have received terrific reports. After a long time, an Ajith film has received a "U" rating. The last film of the actor that got an "U" certificate was the 2007-release "Kireedam."
Expectations for "Arrambam" are quite high, thanks to Ajith's star power and Vishnu's filmmaking style. The duo had worked in "Billa" and the film turned out to be a massive hit. Fans expect "Arrambam" to be another blockbuster like "Billa."
"All in All Azhaguraja"
All in All Azhaguraja" (AAA) is a full-fledged family entertainer, directed by Rajesh of "SMS" and "OKOK" fame.
Karthi's last two releases "Saguni" and "Alex Pandian" have failed to set the cash registers singing. The actor is hoping to resurrect his dwindling career with "AAA", which will be releasing on 2 November to cash in on the Diwali holidays.
Actress Kajal Aggarwal will be seen pairing opposite Karthi for the second time after "Naan Mahan Alla." Santhanam, Prabhu, Saranya Ponvannan, Radhika Apte and M. S. Bhaskar appear in supporting roles.
