The shooting of Ajith-Arya starrer "Arrambam" is progressing at a brisk pace. The film is in its final schedule which commences in Chennai on Tuesday (20 August).
"Arrambam" was in the making for over a year. The film's shooting is expected to be completed soon and is gearing up for a Diwali release.
Confirming the news, senior film journalist Sreedhar Pillai tweeted, "#Arrambam - Last and final schedule starts today in Chennai. Film gearing up 4 a Diwali release."
Speculations are rife over Ajith's character in the film. Fans believed that he would play a hacker in "Arrambam." But in a recent interview, film's director Vishnu Vardhan revealed that it is Arya (the other hero in the film) and not Ajith who take on the role.
According to Vishnu, each character in the film is very significant and plays an integral part that even the absence of one character would make the film look incomplete, reported Behindwoods.com.
"Arrambam" is an action entertainer with a multi-star cast including Nayanthara, Taapsee Pannu, Atul Kulkarni, Rana Daggubati, Mahesh Manjrekar and Kishore.
The film's unit has shot some high-octane stunt sequences in Dubai, Mahabaleshwar, Leh, Ladakh, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Jaisalmer.
The film's first look posters and teaser have already generated a lot of buzz. "Arrambam" songs are composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, who has worked in all of Vishnu's films. The trailer release and music launch are expected to take place soon.
The film is produced by AM Rathnam's Sri Surya Movies, in association with A Raghuram's Sri Satya Sai Movies. It is likely to get released in Diwali this year. In that case, the film might clash with another biggie - "Kochadaiyaan". The Rajinikanth starrer is expected to hit theatres during the festive season as a treat to his fans.
It is also expected that Kamal Haasan's spy thriller "Vishwaroopam 2" might be released around Diwali. However, there is no official confirmation on the same. If these reports turn true, then it would be a cracker of a Diwali for their fans.
