Thala Ajith, who is basking in the success of "Vedalam", underwent multiple surgeries on Friday, 13 November. As per the buzz, the doctors have successfully operated on him.
Confirming the news, Ajith's official fans twitter handle announced, "Both leg and shoulder surgery over. Thala #Ajith is well in good health. Thank you for all your wishes and prayers. Info: Mohan Sathriyan."
Ajith had suffered injuries during the making of "Arrambam". While performing a stunt sequence, he had hurt his knee and shoulders. The doctors, who had treated him then, had advised him to undergo the surgery.
But Ajith decided to complete his projects as he had started feeling better. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago he hurt the same knee again on the sets of "Vedalam". This forced him to take a sudden call on the knee surgery. Simultaneously, the Thala decided to undergo impending shoulder surgery.
Meanwhile, Ajith has reportedly been advised bed rest for nine weeks, which means he will not be starting any new project this year. Earlier, it was speculated that the actor might undergo surgeries on 24 November.
'Vedalam' Success
Ajith's latest movie "Vedalam" has got fantastic start at the box office. The Tamil movie has performed well and made above Rs 25 crore in just two days. Despite heavy rains, the movie has pulled the audience to theatres in Chennai.
The response is good in Karnataka and Kerala as well. In overseas centres, "Vedalam" has done well in the US and UK along with Malaysia.
Ajith to team up with Siva?
Ajith will only be starting his next movie in January 2016. It is reported that he will be teaming up with Siruthai Siva for the third time. But neither the director nor the actor has confirmed the news.
