Ajith Turns Taxi Driver in 'Thala 56'

A crucial information of Ajith's forthcoming film, which is called by the name "Thala 56", is out. It is about the character that the actor will play in the Tamil film.

Ajith will reportedly be playing the role of a taxi driver in "Thala 56". The actor will play the role of an ordinary man who works hard to provide his siuster with everything. His sister's role will be essayed by Lakshmi Menon in the Tamil movie. The story is set in Kolkata.

The photographs from the sets of the movie was released recently and they indicate that Ajith will play a simple man's role in the movie. However, further updates are not available and the present buzz about the actor's role is yet to be confirmed by the makers of the movie.

The shooting for "Thala 56" is taking place at Binny Mills in Chennai. The creative team has designed a set resembling some of the popular places in Kolkata. Ajith and Lakshmi Menon are taking part in the first schedule.

Apart from talkie portions, an action sequence will also be shot in the opening schedule. Stunt Silva will choreograph the sequence in Chennai. The intro song of Ajith has also been shot recently.

The filming was kick-started on 7 May, after hitting the floors on 9 April. The makers aim to wrap up the shooting at the earliest so that the film is ready to light the screens for Diwali. The movie features Shruti Haasan in the female lead role, with Soori and Kabir Singh in the supporting cast.

The AM Rathnam produced movie has Anirudh Ravichander's music. Meanwhile, the Telugu version of Ajith's "Yennai Arindhaal", titled  "Yentha Vaadu Gaani", has become a hit.
