Atlee Kumar of "Theri" fame is reportedly joining hands with Ajith Kumar. The buzz is that their forthcoming Tamil film will be produced by none other than Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

"Rumours r rife - Amitabh Bachchan to produce #Ajith's film again? #Thala58," freelance journalist Priyanka tweeted. There are reports doing the rounds that Atlee's story has been approved by Ajith and the project will take off once the actor wraps up his upcoming flick with Siruthai Siva. The young director met the "Mankatha" star recently and his subject has impressed Thala.

Interestingly, the buzz says that Amitabh Bachchan will be producing the film on his home banner of ABCL. It may be recalled that Big B had earlier bankrolled Ajith and Vikram's Tamil film "Ullaasam." Hence, the latest development of Big B producing the film has not come as a surprise to many. The Bollywood megastar's first venture in Tamil had bombed at the box office.

When we tried to contact Amitabh Bachchan's public relations team for clarification, there was no response from them at the time of filing this story.

Meanwhile, Ajith's next movie is all set to start shooting by the end of this month. It is reported that the first schedule will commence in Bulgaria. The movie was launched last week with a simple pooja at the producer's office.

The film is being produced by Sathyajyothi Films and the makers have plans to release the movie in April 2017. So far, Anirudh Ravichander, Vetri and Anthony Ruben have been signed to handle music, cinematography and editing departments.

However, the mystery continues over the female lead. All this while, there were reports that Anushka Shetty would be romancing Ajith in the film. But the latest buzz is that Kajal Aggarwal has been approached to play the love interest of Thala.
