Ajith Kumar and Shruti Haasan will play interesting characters in their forthcoming Tamil movie "Thala 56". While the actor will be seen in the role of a taxi driver, the actress will portray a lawyer.
A Kolkata-based national daily is said to have revealed the roles played by the duo.
There were earlier speculations that the actor will play the role of a taxi driver in "Thala 56". So, the news has not come as a surprise for many. But it is Shruti Haasan's lawyer role, which has come out as an interesting piece of news. A picture of her wearing a lawyer's outfit, which has become public, adds strength to the rumour.
Shruti has been paired with Ajith for the first time. Hence, fans are obviously curious about their on-screen chemistry.
"Thala 56" is said to be an emotionally-driven commercial entertainer which centres around a brother-sister theme. Lakshmi Menon and Ajith play siblings with Ashwin Kakamanu playing the actress' love interest.
Meanwhile, reports said that three schedules of "Thala 56" have been wrapped up. Ajith and Shruti, along with others took part in the shooting held in Chennai, Kolkata and other places. A foreign schedule too has been completed.
"Thala 56" is directed by Siruthai Siva and produced by A M Rathnam. The movie will appear before the audience for Diwali.
