It seems that the debate on the next superstar is never going to end. Even as Rajinikanth's ardent followers have repeatedly claimed that nobody can replace him, Powerstar Srinivasan has fuelled the debate by calling Ajith 'the next superstar'.
After watching Ajith's "Yennai Arindhaal", Powerstar Srinivasan praised the actor and the movie. On his Twitter account, he wrote, "Watched #YennaiArindhaal. Thambi ajith Iam impressed :) you are the next superstar illa illa athukum mela :) #Thala"
Srinivasan also defended Simbu's statement where the actor had said that those who do not like "Yennai Arindhaal" have mental issues. The Powerstar said that STR expressed his excitement after watching Ajith's movie and it should not be taken out of context.
He tweeted, "Avaru mental nu podhuva sonaru, aana intha pasangala nangathan antha mentals nu trend panni sollitanunga :D I support my thambi Simbu :)"
His tweets on Ajith and "Yennai Arindhaal" have been overwhelmingly welcomed by Thala's fans. They are expressing their happiness by retweeting his posts.
Meanwhile, Ajith's "Yennai Arindhaal" has opened to mixed responses worldwide. But the Tamil movie has made fantastic business. It has reportedly earned over ₹20 crore in Tamil Nadu in two days.
"Yennai Arindhaal" is directed by Gautham Menon and produced by AM Rathnam. Trisha, Anushka Shetty and Arun Vijay are in the key roles.
