Ajith has emerged as the favourite actor of Tamil Nadu by winning a poll, where he beat stars like Rajinikanth, Vijay, Kamal Haasan and Suriya. It was conducted by a well-known college in Chennai and it once agian proves that Thala is the heartthrob of youths.
A tweet from trade tracker Kannan confirms that Ajith is leading the way by garnering 16% of votes. Surprisingly, he has pushed Rajinikanth to the second position by a little margin. The Tamil superstar has got 15.9% of votes.
Ilayathalapathy Vijay follows next by garnering 9.2% of votes. Kamal Haasan landed in the fourth place by getting 5.9% votes and Suriya in the fifth position by receiving 4.3% of votes. The latest survey once again proves the popularity of Ajith among the youngsters.
In the many surveys conducted by different magazines and websites in the recent years, Ajith has found place in top two positions. In such polls, Vijay has always been his biggest competitor. Meanwhile, the fans have welcomed the news and celebrated the occasion by trending the topic with multiple hashtags on Sunday, 24 January.
Ajith set to go on a holiday
Ajith will fly to London on a two-month vacation, says a report on Indiaglitz. His family will accompany him during the long trip. The actor is expected to return to Chennai in April to prepare for his next project with Siruthai Siva. The "Mankatha" star had undergone multiple surgeries in November 2015 and is still recovering from the operations.
It will be his third film with Siruthai Siva after "Veeram" and "Vedalam". The film, which is referred to as "Thala 57", will begin in May. The hunt for the female lead and other cast is on. It is said that Nayantara, Kriti Sanon and Tamanna Bhatia are in the race to bag the project. Anirudh Ravichander has been signed to compose the film, which is bankrolled by Sathyajyothi Films.
