Ajay Devgn's "Action Jackson" trailer will release this October with Hrithik Roshan's much-awaited movie "Bang Bang" and not with Shah Rukh Khan's "Happy New Year".
Earlier there were reports that Devgn would release the trailer of his film with SRK's "Happy New Year" during the festive season.
But as per latest reports, Devgn will release the first look on 24 September and will launch the theatrical trailer along with Roshan-Katrina Kaif starrer "Bang Bang", DNA reported quoting a source.
"Action Jackson" is an action movie directed by Prabhudeva and features Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Yami Gautam, Manasvi Mamgai and Kunaal Roy Kapur in the lead.
The film will release on 7 November, just two weeks after "Happy New Year". SRK's "Happy New Year" is certainly one of the biggest releases of this year, but the makers of "Action Jackson" didn't want to take a risk by releasing the trailer just two weeks before the film's release date.
And hence they decided to change the promo release date to 2 October, according to DNA.
The trailer will hit theaters with Roshan's "Bang Bang". Also, the makers might release a second trailer with "Happy New Year".
Moving on, "Action Jackson" is Devgn's second movie of this year. His first release "Singham Returns" turned out to be a commercially successful film and is the second highest grosser film of 2014.
While "Singham Returns" was a complete Bollywood entertainer with action, romance and comedy, "Action Jackson" will be a hardcore action drama film.
But since the movie is directed by ace choreographer Prabhudeva, there will also be "lots of crazy" dance sequences.
The director last year said that Devgn, who very shy of dancing on screen, will do Michael Jackson's famous "Moonwalk" step.
"Ajay will be fighting of course, and doing a lot of dancing. It's the kind of role he has never done before," Prabhudheva told Subhash K Jha.
