Ajay Devgn's upcoming movie "Baadshaho" is yet to get its female lead, and that is leading to a lot of speculation. The latest buzz is Esha Gupta has been roped in for the project.
There were reports that Nargis Fakhri would be seen as the lead actress in "Baadshaho," but a report in Mid-Day has now said Esha has replaced Nargis. "There has been a lot of back and forth as far as the casting of the film is concerned. However, things seem to be falling into place now. As of now, Ajay Devgn and Vidyut Jammwal have been finalised, [sic]" the report quoted a source as saying.
"Baadshaho" has been in news for speculations regarding its heroine, as it was reported earlier that Priyanka Chopra would feature in the film as Ajay himself had referred her name. "The actress is hot on the international circuit today. Also, Ajay has been keen to work with PC for some time. He suggested her name to Milan (Luthria, the director). In fact, Ajay was to do 'Bajirao Mastani' wherein she played Kashibai, but that didn't work out," the DNA had quoted a source as saying.
Actresses like Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shruti Haasan were also reportedly considered for the female lead of the upcoming Ajay Devgn-starrer. However, no confirmed report on the film's actress has come out yet.
"Baadshaho" is based on true events during the Emergency, and the director is extremely excited about the project. "I am thrilled to collaborate with Bhushan Kumar and Ajay, but I don't want to reveal too much about the film at the moment, except to say that like my other films, this will also be a blend of action, humour, emotion and one liners. Rajat Arora has written the script and Bhushan and I plan to produce the film on a grand scale," Catch News had quoted Milan Luthria as saying earlier.
