Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is making her comeback to films after five years with Sanjay Gupta's "Jazbaa".
She was last seen in 2010 "Guzaarish" opposite Hrithik Roshan. But now she is back with a powerful, action-packed performance in "Jazbaa" opposite Irrfan Khan.
As soon as Aishwarya made her comeback, she got two-three other film projects as well. Interestingly, the release dates of her films have also been revealed.
After Sanjay Gupta's directorial, which will hit theatres on 9 October, she will start shooting for Karan Johar's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil". For the first time, she will star opposite Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. The film will be released next year during Diwali.
"My next directorial film #Aedilhaimushkil starring Ranbir,Anushka and Aishwariya will release Diwali 2016," KJo had tweeted earlier.
The former Miss World will also play the role of Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh's sister Dalbir Kaur in director Omung Kumar's biopic on Sarabjit, who died in a Pakistan jail in May 2013. Recently, it was revealed that the film will be released on 20 May, 2016.
Aishwarya's Upcoming Films | Director | Release Date |
Jazbaa | Sanjay Gupta | 9 October 2015 |
Sarabjit Biopic | Omung Kumar | 20 May 2016 |
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil | Karan Johar | Diwali 2016 |
However, there is a buzz that Sarabjit's biopic release during IPL season next year might be risky. But no other film is releasing around that time, making the makers of the biopic think the film will get two weekends to run.
"Over the last few months, the interest level in this sport has anyways declined and IPL is no more a monster that it used to be. In weeks to come, more films could use vacant weekends during the IPL. But for now, it's a solo run for Aishwarya," Bollywood Life quoted a filmmaker as saying.
