Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's Surprise Birthday Party for Abhishek; Shah Rukh, Gauri, Karan and Others Attend [PHOTOS]

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan threw a surprise party for hubby Abhishek on his 38^th birthday. The party was organised by Aishwarya at the Bachchan family residence, Jalsa, in Mumbai on Wednesday night.

Abhishek's close friends Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Sonali Bendre, Goldie Behl, Rohan Sippy, Apoorva Lakhia, Sikander Kher, Karan Johar, Farah Khan, Bunty Walia, Kunal Kapoor, Manish Malhotra and Rohan Gavaskar among others attended the event. 

Abhishek's mother-in-law Vrinda Rai, father-in-law Krishnaraj Rai and brother-in-law Aditya Rai were also seen at the birthday party.

Aishwarya wanted to surprise hubby by arranging the birthday party and she even told his friends not to discuss about the party with him.

"We've all been told by Aishwarya to be very quiet about the birthday party," Abhishek's friend told Bollywood Hungama.

Unaware of his surprise party, Abhishek said that he would like to spend his special day with family and friends.

"Birthdays have always been a family affair for us and I hope it would be the same this year too. There's nothing in the world I'd want more. Any day when all of us can be together is like a birthday treat," the actor said.

Apparently, the actor was busy shooting for his upcoming film "Happy New Year" on his birthday. The actor has often said that he likes to work on his birthdays.

"I like working on my birthday, so I always do. All the Dhoom films were shot on my birthday, and so were Bunty Aur Babli (2005) and Bol Bachchan (2012). This year will be busy with Happy New Year and All Is Well," he told Hindustan Times.
