Ever since former Miss World and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan lost her post-baby weight gain, speculations are on the rise as to when she will make her comeback on screen.
Aishwarya was last seen in "Guzaarish" which was released in 2010. She was set to play the main lead in Madhur Bhandarkar's "Heroine", but the actress dropped out as she became pregnant.
The gorgeous star has been on a self-imposed sabbatical from films after the birth of her daughter Aaradhya in 2011. She has made several appearances with her daughter on various international events including the recent Cannes Film Festival in France.
During an interview at Cannes, Aishwarya had hinted that she might make a comeback on screen soon. According to sources, she is looking at scripts and has even zeroed in on a couple of projects. There is no official announcement on her films, but buzz is that Ash has been approached by Karan Johar for his next venture.
Rumours are doing the rounds that she might play the female lead in Karan's upcoming film "Shuddhi", starring Hrithik Roshan. "Shuddhi" is a romantic-drama flick directed by Karan Malhotra. The film is expected to get released in Diwali next year.
As of now only Hrithik is confirmed to play the male lead for the project. There is still no confirmation on the film's leading lady. Earlier, a few A-list stars including Kareena Kapoor and Anushka Sharma were reportedly considered to be cast opposite Hrithik. But those reports were denied by the makers, who had stated that they were still in search of the female lead.
Now, Aishwarya joins the list of stars that has reportedly been approached by the makers. If she accepts the offer to act in "Shuddhi", it would be her fourth film with Hrithik after "Dhoom 2", "Jodhaa Akbar" and "Guzaarish."
