Award-winning film "Kahaani", through which Vidya Balan stole millions of hearts with her performance, was first offered to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
In an interview with Filmfare magazine, Aishwarya revealed that she was the initial choice for Sujoy Ghosh directorial. As the actress was pregnant with Aaradhya when Ghosh had offered her the film, she refused to take it.
"He was then asking me for 'Kahaani' when I was full bloom pregnant. He joked you would have been an actor without the fake stomach," Aishwarya told Filmfare magazine.
"I am so glad that Vidya did it and she was wonderful at it," the actress further added.
The October edition of the magazine has Aishwarya on its cover page and it also consists of her interview, in which she has talked about her post-pregnancy weight and motherhood.
Currently, the former Miss World is set to appear on the silver screen with her comeback flick "Jazbaa". The Sanjay Gupta directorial will hit theatres on 9 October. It also features Irrfan Khan.
It is a female-centric flick, in which Aishwarya will be seen performing some high-octane, never-seen-before action sequences. Irrfan plays the role of a suspended police officer who has problems with authority and discipline.
After wrapping up "Jazbaa", the Bachchan Bahu will start shooting for Karan Johar's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.
The gorgeous actress will soon appear in director Omung Kumar's biopic on Sarabjit Singh, who died in a Pakistani jail in May 2013. Aishwarya will play the role of Sarabjit's sister Dalbir Kaur.
During the interaction with Filmfare magazine, she also revealed that she will feature in Mani Ratnam and Sujoy Ghosh's next movies.
