As per the latest buzz, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is all set to work with two of the biggest stars of the Southern film industry, Nagarjuna and Mahesh Babu.
The Bachchan bahu has apparently given her nod to Mani Ratnam for his upcoming film, which will also feature Abhishek Bachchan, Bollywood Hungama reported. [Read the report here]
However, it is being said that Nagarjuna and Mahesh Babu will be the protagonists.
"Aishwarya Rai has confirmed her participation in the project," a source from Mani Ratnam's office told Deccan Chronicle.
The title of the film has not been decided yet and it is going to be a Tamil-Telugu bilingual. A representative of Aishwarya has confirmed that the actress has given her consent, but did not reveal the details of the film, except that the shooting will go on floors by September or October.
Aishwarya Rai will be seen playing a negative role, if everything goes well. "You will see her in a new avatar," a source told The Times of India.
However, the news has not been confirmed by Aishwarya yet.
Even Nagarjuna wasn't aware of Aishwarya's role in the film. "I didn't know about Aishwarya being approached. I did receive a message of condolence from Mani Ratnam when my father died. Perhaps he felt it wasn't the right time to talk about Aishwarya being roped in," the actor told DC.
There have also been reports that actress Shruti Haasan will be working in the same film and will be mostly featured opposite Mahesh Babu.
