Bollywood diva Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, in her alleged comeback with "Happy Anniversary", is apparently ready to mend ties with the film's producer Gaurang Doshi.
Not many know that the actress had signed for Doshi's "Happy Birthday" in 2007 and later walked out of the film citing issues with the producer.
According to reports, Doshi was involved in a domestic abuse case in 2007 filed by his then girlfriend Flora Saini. Aishwarya had taken Flora's side and dropped Doshi's project. .
"Happy Birthday" which was also set to feature John Abraham had to be shelved, which was a mark of Aishwarya's disdain for Doshi.
The recent reports of Aishwarya giving her consent to do "Happy Anniversary" have surprised many. Though some believe she has decided to forgive Doshi in accepting "Happy Anniversary", it cannot be overlooked that the film will be directed by her close friend Adman Prahlad Kakkar and will also star her hubby Abhishek Bachchan.
A similar opinion was voiced by a source who said, "Aishwarya's nod to his project now has come as a surprise. She may have agreed to be part of it due to her association with director Prahlad Kakkar. But she seems to have forgotten her past decisions," reported Mid Day.
The 39-year-old actress has incidentally worked in Jag Mundra's film "Provoked" (2006) that dealt with the subject of domestic violence. The film, which is based on true events, had Aishwarya playing a tortured woman who eventually killed her husband.
