Bollywood actress and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be giving a stage performance at the 50th edition of 'Ponds Femina Miss India 2013'.
The event which will take place in Mumbai on 24 March, 2013 will mark Aishwarya's comeback on stage post her pregnancy. The actress had not signed up any major projects after she was reported pregnant in 2011.
Confirming Aishwarya's performance at the event, ace choreographer Shiamak Davar tweeted, "Rehearsing with Aishwarya for @feminamissindia. Memories frm when I choreographed her for Miss World! Don't miss #missindia2013 today!!"
The 39-year-old actress who was last seen in the 2010 release "Guzaarish" opposite Hrithik Roshan had become a full time mother to her sixteen-month-old daughter Aaradhya Bachchan and career took a backseat.
It was earlier rumoured that Aishwarya will make her comeback in director Farah Khan's next venture "Happy New Year" which would feature Shahrukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Katrina Kaif in lead roles.
Recent buzz in the tinsel town is that she is all set to star opposite "Student of the Year" fame Varun Dhawan in Sriram Raghavan's dark thriller.
Aishwarya has not made any comment on the reports.
Femina Miss India is a national beauty pageant which selects three winners to compete globally for Miss World, Miss Universe and Miss Earth titles.
Last year, Vanya Mishra from Jalandhar was crowned the winner of the pageant. She went on to represent India for the Miss World 2012 event in China on and made it to the last seven finalists.
Aishwarya won the Miss World title in 1994 after she emerged as the runner-up of Miss India. The same year, Sushmita Sen became the first Indian national to win the Miss Universe crown.
The 'Ponds Femina Miss India 2013' will be telecasted live at 10pm on Sunday.
