Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are expected to share the stage at a fund-raising event for the victims of the Uttarakhand disaster on 15 August.
Many Bollywood celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Lata Mangeshkar, Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Anil Kapoor, AR Rahman, Boman Irani, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Pritam, Prasoon Joshi, Mukesh Bhatt and Ayushmann Khurana will participate in the event along with several TV stars from popular shows to raise fund for the flood victims.
As part of the 'Saath Hain Hum Uttarakhand' event, a seven-hour marathon has been organised. The event will be held at NSCI Grounds, Worli.
Salman will raise funds under the banner of his NGO 'Being Human'. Fans are desperately waiting to see if he and Aishwarya will put behind their bitter past and take the initiative to talk to each.
The two actors were said to be dating each other before the former Miss world married Abhishek Bachchan. After their break-up, they maintained a distance from each other and avoided attending events where they would meet face-to-face.
Salman will stealing some time from his busy schedule to attend the event on 15 August. The actor was to fly to London to shoot for Sajid Nadiawala's directorial "Kick" which also stars Jacqueline Fernandez.
Aishwarya, who has taken time off films to take care of her daughter Aaradhya, is expected to make a comeback soon. The actress has not signed any projects after her pregnancy was confirmed. But recent reports said that Aishwarya has taken up Sanjay Leela Bhansali's offer to do an item song in his upcoming film "Ram Leela". However, brushing off the rumours Bhansali said, "First it was Sonakshi Sinha, then Madhuri Dixit. Now it's Aishwarya. None of these rumours are true," IANS reported.
