Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be seen in Sujoy Ghosh's next film. The director has been prepping for his upcoming movie "Durga Rani Singh" and has approached Aishwarya Rai for the same.
Talking about her upcoming movies, Aishwarya Rai said that Sujoy Ghosh had discussed two films with her, one of which was "Durga Rani Singh".
"I am doing three films- Karan Johar's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', the biopic of Sarabjit Singh directed by Omung Kumar and a film with Sujoy Ghosh. I think Sujoy's films have gone to a later date. He had discussed two subjects with me-'The Devotion of Mr X' and 'Durga Rani Singh'," DNA quoted the "Jazbaa" actress as saying.
Earlier, Kangana Ranaut was roped in for "Durga Rani Singh" but the actress reportedly opted out of the project due to time constraints, and apparently the director has now decided to fix Aishwarya Rai for the same.
Aishwarya, who is seen as a lawyer in "Jazbaa", further added that she does not have much idea about "The Devotion of Mr X" but "Durga Rani Singh" will certainly see the light of the day.
"I still have to meet him to discuss where that's (The Devotion of Mr X) going. We haven't had the time to meet once 'Jazbaa' rolled. It was announced in the media that 'The Devotion of Mr X' was taking off and then announced that it was shelved but I really don't know what's happening. He has discussed both the subjects with me and now I have to figure out which one is there. But I know Durga Rani is on for sure," she said.
Apart from Kangana, Vidya Balan and Kareena Kapoor were also reportedly approached for "Durga Rani Singh", which is based on the life of a female cop. Irrfan Khan will be seen pairing up with the lead actress in the movie.
