Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who has been away from the silver screen for three years, is now set to make a comeback with "Jazbaa", the shooting of which will start soon.
However, there are certain adjustments made to the actress' work schedule.
The former Miss World is said to be available to the director only when her daughter, Aaradhya, is at school and needs no assistance at home, a source told Deccan Chronicle. Further, she will not be working on weekends.
While Aishwarya is known to always prioritise Aaradhya and her upbringing over work commitments, this time around father Abhishek Bachchan seems to help wife balance her work and motherly duties at the same time.
The "Happy New Year" star is said to plan out his work schedule so that he can be with his daughter as much as possible when his wife is not around.
Speaking about the shoot, director Gupta said: "I will be shooting with Aishwarya in January and February 2015. She won't be shooting on Saturdays and Sundays. I wouldn't want it any other way myself for her, or for myself. Like Aishwarya, I am a very hands-on parent. I want to spend time with my children even when I'm working."
A female-centric film, "Jazbaa", also stars Irrfan Khan and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles. Gupta, even believes that there is a great pressure of responsibility to direct an icon like Aishwarya and more because she is returning after three years.
"I'm beginning to realise how much of a responsibility it is to direct Aishwarya's first film in three years. Then there is Shabana Azmi too. It was my dream to direct her. And now I'm doing it," said Gupta.
Moreover, the director reveals that there is a lot of confrontation scenes between the lead actress and Azmi in the film.
Meanwhile, apart from "Jazbaa", the actress has recently mentioned of having signed a few more films. One of them could apparently be Karan Johar's untitled film and the other Rohit Shetty-Shah Rukh Khan's next. However, no confirmation has been made by the makers yet.
