Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has confirmed that she is in talks to feature in Ajay Devgn's "Baadshaho." Earlier, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Priyanka Chopra's names had been associated with the lead actress' role.
"About 'Baadshaho,' yes, they have narrated the subject to me. I am in talks and we are discussing the way forward. We take it from there and if there is an announcement to be made, then it will be done once I sign the film," Aishwarya told DNA.
After confirming that she had been approached for the film, the actress said the media somehow gets to know what films she has been approached for. "Yes, the media does get to know about the films that I get approached for. I end up doing some and not doing some. (Laughs) Whatever the reasons, sometimes I think, you all even get to know before me also, whether I am in a film or not," she added.
Ajay had been in search for a leading actress for his film "Baadshaho" for a long time. After Shruti Haasan and Kareena turned down the offer, there were rumours that PeeCee might bag the role. But, Priyanka is currently too busy with her international projects. Now, it seems Aishwarya will soon collaborate with Ajay for this film.
If everything goes as planned, "Baadshaho" will be their fifth film together, after "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" (1999), "Hum Kisise Kum Nahin" (2002), "Khakee" (2002) and "Raincoat" (2002). Loosely based on the 1975 emergency, the film is expected to be rich in emotions. Slated for a Jan. 26, 2017, release, it may clash with Hrithik Roshan's "Kaabil."
On the other hand, Aishwarya is currently busy with the promotions of her upcoming film "Sarbjit." She is also shooting for Karan Johar's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" and looking at several other scripts.
