Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, along with co-stars Irrfan Khan, Shabana Azmi, Anupam Kher and others, was seen at the script-reading session of Sanjay Gupta's next directorial venture in Mumbai, on Tuesday.
The former Miss World is making her comeback with the project, titled "Jazbaa", this year. Thus, the session was the first day at work for the diva, after a gap of five years.
It was supposed to take place on 9 January, but got postponed due to Khan's poor health as he had undergone a minor surgery.
The script-reading session was held so that the cast and crew members bond with each other.
"The makers want the actors and other technicians to be comfortable with one another and let them understand each other's working styles before the film starts rolling. That's why the entire primary, as well as secondary cast (of about 17-18 actors) in addition to the heads of the other departments of the movie, will be present at the script-reading session." a source told Hindustan Times.
Even Gupta commented on the issue. He told HT, "Internationally, it's the norm. More than anything, it helps the cast bond with each other before the shooting starts. It's a better arrangement than having the actors reach the sets and directly begin reading their lines in front of each other."
The Bachchan bahu, who was last seen with Hrithik Roshan in "Guzaarish", will be seen doing stunts in her action thriller film "Jazbaa." The actress has also signed Karan Johar's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" alongside Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor.
