Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez, who sports a desi look in item number "Jadu Ki Jhappi", has taken inspiration from Bollywood diva Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to give out a sizzling performance in the song.
"Jadu Ki Jhappi" is an item song from Girish Taurani-Shruti Haasan starrer "Ramaiya Vastavaiya". The song is a rustic number which was shot Chandigarh. Girish and choreographer Prabhu Dheva are also seen shaking a leg with Jacqueline.
Praising Aishwarya, who wooed the audience with her impeccable moves in the song "Kajra re" from "Bunty Aur Babli", Jacqueline said, "I think it was choreographed beautifully, Aishwarya was looking stunning...I love that song and I remember hearing it when I came to India, so it kind of remained and I think it was amazing. It is my favourite," IANS reported.
Choreographed by dancer turned filmmaker Prabhu Dheva , "Jadu Ki Jhappi" is Jacqueline's second item song. The 28-year-old actress received a good response for her maiden item song "Dhanno" from the film "Housefull".
Speaking at the launch event of the song, Jacqueline said, "I started rehearsing a week before the song's shoot with Prabhudheva's assistants. But he was not very happy with my work and initially found it too robotic. His choreography is difficult to match," Daily Mail reported.
The title of the song is inspired from Sanjay Dutt's famous dialogue in "Munna Bhai MBBS". Stating that no one can take away the phrase away from Sanjay Dutt the actress said, "Hopefully our song too will become famous like the phrase itself."
Directed by Prabhu Dheva and produced by Kumar Taurani, "Ramaiya Vastavaiya" is set to hit screens on 19 July.
