Bharti Airtel has introduced a 'Call-me-back' service for its prepaid subscribers in collaboration with leading mobile Value Added Service (VAS) provider mCarbon.

The latest service unveiled by India's leading telecommunication service provider will enable prepaid users to send a request to their families or friends to call them back even when the credit balance is less than ₹1.

"The customer's experience of an operator has many facets and involves many touch-points. We are pleased to launch 'Call-me-back', one such service that drives our philosophy of Customer Experience Management. We are positive on our ability to continuously add new and exciting applications under our wing," said Rajesh Razdan, Co-founder and Director, mCarbon Tech Innovation at the launch.

With the new service, a user can send an SMS to toll free number 121 along with the Airtel number of the person to whom they wish to talk to. The person on the other side will receive an SMS saying "Please call me back. Thank You." The calls made from the other end to the user of this service will be charged as per the current calling rate.

Airtel has also launched a new WI-FI hotspot service, WIFI Hangout, for prepaid customers, through which customers can access the internet from anywhere by activating 'Airtel Wi-Fi Zone' vouchers. WIFI Hangout is charged ₹20 for 30 minutes of unlimited usage, ₹30 for one hour and ₹50 for two hours of unlimited usage.

"Now you can enjoy a broadband internet experience even outside your home. Whether at your favourite café, restaurant or local hangout, Airtel Wi-Fi guarantees a secure and reliable connectivity on your laptop or handheld device," Airtel website mentioned.
