The makers of Akshay Kumar starrer "Airlift" have released the first poster of the film and it appears the superstar is coming up with yet another action-packed entertainer.
The movie "Airlift" is based on a real situation during the Iraq-Kuwait war of 1990 and will portray India's historical feat of evacuating 1.70 lakh refugees from war-hit Kuwait.
The brand new poster of the upcoming movie shows a plane taking off from a runway surrounded by smoke and fire.
The poster also reveals the film's plot, of the arduous task of evacuating 1.70 lakh refugees, 488 flights, 59 days and one man. Akshay Kumar plays the role of that one man.
The superstar shared the first poster of the film and also said the first teaser of "Airlift" will be out on 18 November.
"How many people know about the Kuwait evacuation? I'm proud to be part of a film that brings this true story alive #AirliftTeaserTomorrow (sic)," Akshay tweeted.
Akshay will play the role of a powerful Indian businessman in Kuwait, Ranjit Katyal, and actress Nimrat Kaur plays the female lead in the movie.
Akshay was highly praised for his performance in "Baby" and it appears the actor is ready to offer another power-packed performance. Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, "Airlift" is slated to be released on 22 January.
