Local operator Aircel has come out with a new offer that offers as much as 2GB worth of 3G data for Rs 178. USP of this initiative is that it diverts from the regular 1GB 3G data offerings that most of the incumbent service providers are known for. Recharge options for these 1GB packs are in the range of Rs 147 – Rs 251.
Now, Aircel's 2GB 3G internet offer, costing Rs 178, is valid for 28 days and is applicable to prepaid subscribers in the Karnataka circle. This also includes the Bangalore area, along with important cities within the state.
Also, Aircel's latest initiative could potentially serve as direct competition to Reliance Jio's 4G services considering the fact that users of the latter have reported speed slowdowns during internet browsing.
"Aircel has spiced up the festivities with RC178, another splendid value proposition offering by Aircel in the Karnataka market, tailor-made for the data users", stated Kanwarbir Singh, Business Head of Aircel's Karnataka telecom circle.
Not too long ago, Aircel had come out with a 3G data plan offering 1GB 3G data for Rs 24. This plan comes with a catch and requires business subscribers to recharge for Rs 329 that guarantees 2GB 3G data. After exhaustion of this limit, customers can choose to recharge for Rs 24 to get 1GB 3G data valid for 28 days.
