The declaration of the CBSE's All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) result was delayed further as the Supreme Court extended the stay on the declaration by two more days.
The apex court on Monday said that it is yet to declare its verdict on the pleas seeking re-conduct of the test in the wake of the alleged paper leak.
A vacation bench of Justices RK Agrawal and Amitava Roy posted the next hearing to 12 June.
"The matter will be heard on Friday (June 12)," PTI quoted the bench as saying.
On 4 June, the bench had stayed the declaration of results of AIPMT conducted on 3 May, and posted the matter for hearing on 10 June. It had asked the Haryana police to identify the exact number of beneficiaries of leaked papers and file a report within a week.
The SC bench had said that it does not want to take the decision in haste and will decide on Wednesday on whether th re-conduct the test.
"We are fully aware of all this. The bigger issue is that the sanctity of the examination is under suspicion. We want to be doubly sure that there is no alternative but to order re-conduct of the examination," it had said.
"We have to be doubly sure. We do not want to be criticised for any action," the bench said, while asking the police to "hunt" down all the beneficiaries.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was originally scheduled to declare the AIPMT results on 5 June.
The results are crucial, as 2,000 of the 6.3 lakh students who took the AIPMT, will get admission to medical colleges across India. The test was conducted on 3 May, 2015.
