Shah Rukh Khan is a happy man as his Indian Premiere League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has been performing well this season; they have won five out of eight matches. Usually, he is at the stands cheering for the squad but this time he couldn't make it to any of the games courtesy his tight schedule.
But the "Fan" actor and his youngest son AbRam are now gearing up for Wednesday's match, in which the men in purple and gold are up against Kings XI Punjab at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata, 8 p.m. onwards. He tweeted: "Practising our dance moves lil AbRam and me as we prep for our first match in Kolkata. Ami Kolkata here we come...see you all at the Garden."
For a grown up to enjoy a game of cricket that stretches well past bed time is not surprising, but it's a big deal when a toddler stays up well into the night. Talking to the Press Trust of India about AbRam attending his first ever match (in 2015), Shah Rukh said that the "little one" shows interest in everything he takes him to.
"We were really surprised because I thought he would go to sleep, so we had fixed a little table behind, but he was awake throughout. He was up till 2 am enjoying and learned two new words- Yay and KKR," the news agency quoted the 50-year-old actor as saying.
AbRam is quite a star at such games. Last year, photos and videos — in which he was spotted having some fun with SRK's staff members — of his from one of the matches went viral on social media.
