Director Murugadoss, who is currently working with Vijay in "Kaththi," has revealed that he is planning to work with Ajith in the future.
Murugadoss is one of the most popular directors of Tamil cinema with many of his films turning out to be big hits at the box office.
The director is known for repeating the male lead stars in his films. He has worked with Suriya in two films – "Ghajini" and "7 Aum Arivu." His latest project "Kaththi" is his second film with Vijay post the success of 2012-release "Thuppakki."
In a recent interview, the director has revealed that he is planning to work with Ajith in the future. He was reportedly quoted saying that actors return to him if a film turns out to be successful and sometimes he approaches them if he finds a suitable story for them. He added that he has planned to team up once again with "Thala," who starred in his debut film "Dheena."
"Dheena," an action packed entertainer, was a big success after which there was no turning back for this young director. He has worked with some of the top stars of Indian cinema including Aamir Khan, Chiranjeevi and Akshay Kumar. The director's films in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi have been commercially successful and his latest release "Holiday" ("Thuppakki" remake) has also opened to positive reviews.
There have been a lot of speculations about the director's next project post the completion of "Kaththi." Earlier, there were rumours doing the rounds that the director will be teaming up with Ajith after Vijay's film. With Murugadoss showing interest in working with Thala, the project might be the next one for the actor-director duo.
However, a number of other directors' names including Shankar, K.V.Anand and "Siruthai" Siva are also being associated with Ajith's 56th film. The actor is busy with Gautham Menon's untitled venture and an announcement regarding the new project is expected only after he completes the action thriller.
The film, tentatively titled as "Thala 55" by fans, is progressing at a brisk pace. It is expected to hit the screens by this year end. Ajith is speculated to be playing a dual role in the big-budget entertainer, though there is no official confirmation regarding this.
