Fans will be disappointed to learn that Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor, who shared stage during the trailer launch of "Udta Punjab," will reportedly not appear together at any event again. The ex-flames appeared together for the first time after "Jab We Met" (2007) at their film's trailer launch event.
But, in film critic Rajeev Masand's article for Open Magazine, he hinted that Kareena and Shahid are not doing any more appearance together. "Word coming out of Phantom Productions and Balaji Telefilms, the film's co-producers, is that Shahid and Kareena will not be doing joint interviews or any more appearances together. This was a one-off gesture that they agreed to make for the sake of their director Abhishek Chaubey and co-producer Ekta Kapoor, who was reportedly instrumental in coaxing Kareena to turn up," Rajeev Masand revealed in the article.
However, the "Jab We Met" pair looked comfortable at the trailer launch event and also, the duo was seen interacting on the stage. Kareena and Shahid are making a comeback together in Abhishek Chaubey's "Udta Punjab," but, unfortunately, the stars have not shared screen space in the movie. The film also stars Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh in pivotal roles.
On the other hand, in a recent interview, she said that she would love to work with the "Haider" actor again and the concept of not working with an ex is outdated. "Though we are in the same film, we didn't shoot together. Of course, I would love to work with Shahid also. I think it's an outdated concept that people who have dated each other can't work together. We are all actors and professional people. Why should our emotions come in the way of our work?" Bebo told DNA.
It cannot be said whether the two will ever appear together at any event or not, but fans would love to see the pair on-screen. After seeing them at the trailer launch event, one can at least hope that the two will make an appearance at their film's premiere.
