Salman Khan and director Kabir Khan are all set to collaborate again for a film that will hit screens on Eid 2017. The film-maker is very excited to work with the "Sultan" actor for the third time and revealed some tidbits about the upcoming movie.
"It's a compelling human story which like any other films has a larger than life political backdrop," Kabir told Mumbai Mirror. Kabir and Salman first worked together in "Ek Tha Tiger" and then the duo joined hands for "Bajrangi Bhaijaan." Both the films turned out to be blockbusters, but were of completely different genre.
"If I had felt the pressure, then after 'Ek Tha Tiger' I would have made another action-packed Tiger that would have excited the distributors and not a warm, human story about a little girl. This time too, I went to Salman and after the narration he simply said, 'Great story, let's make it' and that was it," the director said, when asked if he feels some amount of pressure for his next film with Salman as fans' expectations are very high after the success of the last two movies.
Kabir also said that the Eid 2017 movie will be produced by Salman himself. "It's an interesting time for Salman and me. We enjoy a good working relationship and this is our chance to push the envelope. This film will be produced by him and I will line produce it," he added.
Salman will next be seen in "Sultan" that also features Anushka Sharma. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film will present the actor as a wrestler from Haryana. Slated to be released on Eid this year, "Sultan" is one of the most awaited flicks of 2016.
