Rumour has it that Ranbir Kapoor might work with rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh for a song in his upcoming film "Roy".
Honey Singh has become widely popular in India, especially among the youth across the country. He has also become a hot property in Bollywood, with film producers signing him for special tracks in their films.
Be it "Lungi Dance", "Party All Night", "Punjabiyaan Di Battery" or the recent "Chaar Botal Vodka", Honey Singh songs have been at the top of chartbusters.
Songs play an important role in a film becoming a hit in Bollywood. Like Amitabh Bachchan says in the trailer of his new film "Bhootnath Returns", "Agar gana hit toh picture superhit (if songs are hit then film is superhit)."
And since Honey Singh has become a rage, filmmakers are queuing up to sign him. And after working with Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Bachchan and Sunny Leone among others, the rapper will now reportedly work with "Besharam" actor Kapoor.
"Roy" producer Bhushan Kumar is keen to sign Honey Singh for a unique track for the film, according to Bollywoodlife.com.
Kumar has not revealed the details but Vikramjit Singh, the director of the film, has confirmed the news.
"Yes, there is a Honey Singh song for Ranbir song in Roy. Currently, Singh is in Durban for a private show. He will soon return and is really excited about working with Ranbir," the director told The Times of India.
"Roy" is still in the preproduction stage. The film is helmed by debutante Vikramjit and is produced under T-Series banner.
The film features Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles.
