Politician Anbumani Ramadoss, who had slammed Vijay for promoting smoking in his first look of Sarkar, has now criticised Vishal over the poster of his latest movie Ayogya.
Vishal is seen sporting a beer bottle in the first look of Ayogya. Anbumani Ramadoss, former Union Minister and the founder of the PMK, indicated that the poster sends a bad message to the society and he expected social responsibility from a man, who holds a responsible position in Kollywood.
The actor is the Secretary of the Nadigar Sangam and the President of Tamil Film Producers' Council. Anbumani Ramadoss recalls writing a letter to Vishal to ban smoking in films and wondered what action the actor would take against it when he has gone to the extent of promoting a beer bottle.
The first look of Ayogya was released on November 19 and met with good response from the viewers.
This is not the first time when Anbumani Ramadoss condemned actors citing social responsibilities issues. Earlier, he had also lambasted Rajinikanth during Baba and Vijay over Sarkar first look for promoting smoking.
Coming to Ayogya, it is a remake of Telugu hit movie Temper, which starred Jr NTR. Venkat Mohan, a protégé of AR Murugadoss, is directing the film made jointly by Light House Movie Makes in association with Vishal Film Factory.
Raashi Khanna plays the female lead in Ayogya, which has R Parthiepan, KS Ravikumar and others in the supporting cast. The movie has Sam CS's cinematography.
