After the return of Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai with the new season, another cult show Khichdi is set to return, that too not as web series but on small screen. The show will see the entire original cast Rajeev Mehta, Anang Desai, J D Majethia, Supriya Pathak and Vandana Pathak.
In fact, rumour has it that the pilot episode has already been shot with Rajeev, Supriya, Vandana and others. The new series will take a few years leap wherein the children Chakki and Jackky will be seen grown up.
And, guess who will play the role of grown up Chakki and Jackky? It's none other than viewers' favourite brother-sister duo - Aditi Bhatia and Abhishek Verma, who play the roles of Ruhi and Aditya on Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. The young actors have already shot for the pilot episode.
While the new cast will surely raise the curiosity among fans of Khichdi, the report further said that though Aditi and Abhishek had shot the episode, there might be some changes when the show goes on air. Hence, whether Aditi and Abhishek will be part of the show is uncertain.
Khichdi revolved around a Gujarati family called the Parekhs, who live in an old mansion. The family consisted of people who solved several problems together, but in their own inimitable style. The new season of Khichdi is likely to go on air in July or August.
