Here is a happy news for Prithviraj and Biju Menon fans. The latest buzz is that both the stars will act together in a musical comedy entertainer, directed and scripted by Sachi of Sachi-Sethu duo.
"It will be a musical love story with elements of humour. Biju Menon will also be acting in the film. After Robinhood, Prithviraj and Biju will be working together in this film. However, unlike Robinhood, Biju will have an equally important role in this film. We haven't decided on the name or other details, except that Sachi himself will be scripting the film," said producer Rajeev Nair to The Times of India.
Rajeev has earlier produced Biju's 2012 super hit film "Ordinary" and this will his second film as a producer. Not much details are revealed about this untitled flick, but rumours suggest that the film makers are looking for a new face to play as the lead heroine.
For Sachi, this is his first directorial venture. He started his career as a script writer along with Sethu for the Prithviraj starrer "Chocolate" in 2007. The duo then went on to write scripts for the films "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves", "Makeup Man", "Seniors" and "Doubles".
After the duo's split in 2011, Sachi wrote the script for Mohanlal starrer "Run Baby Run" and "Chettayees" starring Biju Menon, Lal and Miya.
Rumours about Sachi's directorial debut has been making rounds for quite a long time, but the confirmations regarding it came out only now.
Meanwhile, for Prithviraj and Biju, their last film together was "Robinhood: Prince of Thieves". In the film, Prithviraj was seen as an intelligent thief, who targets and robs a particular bank named Imperial Bank of India. Biju played as the bank's owner.
The makers of the upcoming film have confirmed that unlike "Robinhood", both Biju and Prithviraj will have equal importance in the movie.
The shooting of the untitled film is expected to kick start soon in Lakshadweep, Lucknow and Kochi.
