Shruti Haasan seems to be on a roll. The actress is getting signed to big banner films one after the other. The 29-year-old, who has Vijay's "Puli" and Ajith's "Thala 56" in her kitty, has bagged yet another biggie.
Shruti Haasan has been reportedly signed for none other than Suriya's "Singam 3". The makers met her recently and reports suggest that they have struck a deal.
The actress will play an important role in the movie. It has to be noted that Anushka Shetty, who was the main female lead in the earlier two versions, will be doing the same again.
It is not clear what role Shruti Haasan will play in "Singam 3", even though it is being speculated that she would be seen in a negative role. This is not the first time that Shruti will work with Suriya.
Shruti Haasan had made her Tamil debut in the lead role alongside Suriya in AR Murugadoss directorial "7aum Arivu". Their chemistry had worked well in the movie.
Coming back to "Singam", the first instalment starred Suriya and Anushka Shetty in the lead roles. The story was set in Tamil Nadu, where an honest cop faces challenges from local goons.
The next instalment in the franchise had Suriya, Anushka Shetty, and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles. The story of "Singam 2" revolved around drug mafia and it was partially shot in South Africa.
Both the versions were hits at the box office. Now, we have to wait and see what "Singam 3", directed by Hari, has to offer. As far as the technical team is concerned, it has Anirudh Ravichander's music and Priyan will handle the cinematography. The shooting will begin in September.
