Bollywood actor Darshan Kumar, who won hearts with his performance in Priyanka Chopra's "Mary Kom", will now share screen space with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Darshan will appear with Aishwarya in Omung Kumar's film which is based on Sarabjit's story. He will play the character of Khalid Pervaiz, a Pakistani lawyer who fights Sarabjit's case.
"I feel lucky, blessed to be working with Aishwarya. I am excited as well as nervous about working with her. She is a talented actress. It's a big film and a great opportunity for me as an actor," Darshan told PTI.
"I have to learn his body language, adapt to how he talks and walks. I will have to lose some weight. We plan to meet the lawyer," he added.
Darshan has also showed his acting skills in Anushka Sharma's "NH10". Hence, the audience will be excited to see the actor in this new film.
In Sarabjit's biopic, Aishwarya will play the character of Sarabjit's sister Dalbir Kaur, while Randeep Hooda has been roped in to play the character of Sarabjit.
The biopic is being produced by Sandeep Singh, Zeeshan Quadri and Omung Kumar. The film will hit the theatres on 20 May next year, and is expected to release at Cannes Film Festival 2016.
Apart from this flick, Aishwarya will also be seen in Karan Johar directorial "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" next year. The film also features Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan in pivotal roles.
