Akshay Kumar, who is known for his action-packed roles in films, will reportedly play the role of a gay person in his next. Reports suggest that makers of the movie, "Dishoom", have roped in the "Khiladi" to play the mentioned role.
Akshay will be seen in his usual tough avatar in "Brothers", but the actor is likely to essay a not-so-tough character in his next film "Dishoom", to be directed by Rohit Dhawan.
"Rohit considers Akshay his lucky charm since he made his directorial debut with the actor in "Desi Boyz". In his latest film, he didn't have a role to suit the superstar's status. But he managed to write a special role for him. When Akshay heard about the role, he found it funny and agreed to do it," Filmfare.com quoted a source.
If the reports are to be believed, then this will be the first time that Akshay will be seen on-screen as a homosexual person. The actor has always impressed his fans with action-filled roles, but his next might be a pleasant change. Moreover, Akshay has proved his potential in a comic role many times with his performance in films like "Hera Pheri", "Heyy Baby", "Houseful", "Garam Masala", "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi" and many more, and this new role won't really be a tough chanllenge for him.
Akshay's upcoming film "Brothers" also features Sidharth Malhotra, Jacqueline Fernandez and Jackie Shroff. It is a remake of the 2011 Hollywood film, "Warrior". Directed by Karan Malhotra, "Brothers" is one of the most awaited flicks of this year and is slated to release on 14 August.
