Relationship rumours and scandals never leave celebrities, it's right up there in their job description. "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" actor Karan Patel stirred up a controversy after he attended an event sans wife Ankita Bhargava, partying hard in the presence of ex-girlfriend Kamya Punjabi.
Sure the former couple left the venue without creating a scene but it did lead to a bit of tittle-tattle, reports Tellychakkar. Quashing rumours of a rocky marriage, Patel told India-Forums that there are some who wish trouble for them but the truth is he is happy with her.
"Ankita is the best wife and the best companion I could ever get. So, all the rumours and the people, who generate them... can both go take a hike!! Jo hum se jale woh thoda side se chale," he told India-Forums.
While the TV star rounded off his statement neatly and in the shortest way possible, Bhargava wasn't too pleased with the talks that were floating around. She said there were people close to them who have been a part of the gossips, which was disappointing for them.
"We have been hearing these rumours for months now! I think the evil minds will keep throwing such negativity in the universe, hoping that one day it will come true. I feel scared to even post a picture with my husband online, because I am scared that they will pump up their bad wishes after realising that Karan and I are actually happy," she further added.
Last year, Patel was romantically linked with his "YHM" co-star Divyanka Tripathi. The reports made the couple extremely livid. While the wife slammed the publication (which published the news of the stars' having an affair) for irresponsible journalism, Patel requested the media to not be intrusive.
